Major, minor, and other types like augmented, diminished, Dominant, etc. are types of "chord quality". Roman Numeral notation indicates Major chords capitalized [I, IV, V] and minor chords in lowercase [i, iv, v].


All chords learned so far have been Major triad chords. Convert any Major chord to minor by lowering the 3rd by a half step.
